MEET MICHAEL OSADOLO
I am a smooth jazz recording Artist guitarist born in West Africa Lagos Nigeria and based in Cincinnati Ohio.
My parents are musicians and my father had a local music school named 3face Music. Growing up we had musical instruments all over the house so my father introduces all his children to each musical instrument and that was how I started playing the guitar at a very young age.
My parent had eight boys and made us form into two musical groups. Growing up we played in churches and performed in many concerts and events. In the band, I was the guitarist and singer, and that helped to build my musicianship as I worked with other people.
After high school, I honed my skills as a guitarist and singer, and later became a songwriter. As a guitarist I traveled around the world to over 50 countries doing music at its best, working with a top artist as a front guitarist and also in studio recordings.
My music is rich with African rhythm, world beat grooves with a smooth blend of modern jazz improvisation that will keep you up on your feet.
Where were you born?
What are you passionate about?
Music is what I do, I love to play the guitar.
Knowing that this is a project designed to tell your story, are there any moments that stand out as life-changing?
The only moment I can recall was growing up back in Nigeria, at a point I stopped working on my self as an artist but was playing the guitar with other people for too long.
If you knew then what you know now... What advise or wisdom would you pass on to the younger generations?
If I knew then what I know now, my advise to younger generations is to set a goal or goals for your self and be focus. Do not forget your dream goals while working with other people. Be humble as a person and make sure to get all the connections you can get while working with other people. Keep doing more research and don't see your self as just a musician or artist, see yourself as a business person.
What is one of the things you like most about living in the Cincinnati area?
One of the things I like most about living in the Cincinnati area is that it makes me feel I am at home. In the sense that I can go to other big cities and do all I love to do and when I step back in to Cincinnati it is not too noisy or too busy as the big cities but i feel I am home.
What would you do to help make Cincinnati a better place? *
If I had unlimited resources at your disposal, I will make Cincinnati a big deal for international and local vacation spot for Sports, Art, Food and Entertainment.
Any other comments you would like to make?
I will like to say Cincinnati is a grate and beautiful city, and can do better.
